Romantic Rockers

Dear hubby called me yesterday to tell me he had found these rockers on a local website.
Of course, I liked them,Victorian era rockers in wonderful condition!
He had already made the contact and we drove over together to pick them up:).
The real deal?
$100 for all three!
Over the next few weeks we will be painting them white except for the middle one-the wood patina is too pretty to cover, and replacing the seat on the small one right side, .

Haunted Past

Several weeks ago we modeled with dear friend Lynn for ghostly photos on River Street, Savannah, Ga.
David Hartfield was the photographer and did a hauntingly good job!

I also wanted to thank all of the wonderful people who stopped by from Debbie-Dabble's post:).
I am thankful for my new blogland friends and look forward to visiting all of  your blogspots soon:)!

Blessings,

Kim

Spring Roses and the Beach

Many thanks to all of the lovely people who stopped by the Victorian Parlor these past few days!
A very special thanks to Debbie at
http://debbie-dabble.blogspot.com
for her gracious post about me and my Victorian life:).
Please visit her blog to share in the Victorian splendor of her home:).
This rose is for you Debbie!

It has been a busy few days as I prepared for the first 'Wine and Sign' event at Folly Beach pier yesterday.
We were blessed with beautiful weather and a spectacular view.

We set up our tent on the pier along with several other talented authors.

Needless to say it was a lovely day:).

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Spring has Arrived!

Spring has arrived in full bloom!
To celebrate the rose scented spring breezes, velvety petals of blossoming flowers, and the sweet sound of birdsong the inside of Faith Cottage received a rose covered redo:).

A garden of hand-painted porcelains grace the mantel.

A bright vignette in creams and silver.

Even the interior of the china cabinet is filled with blooms!

Sun filters in through lace covered curtains.

Abundant arrangements add softness to artwork.

Layers of porcelain, shells, and flowers make the perfect spring centerpiece.

Thanks for visiting and sharing in the rosy glow of spring!
