Kramer Chronicles-Becoming Scarlett...

Hey, it's me, Kramer.
She's at it again as you can see by that machine behind me.
Yup, my mom is becoming Scarlett.
She made some sort of BBQ dress last summer of which I could not comprehend the importance.
I must say I did enjoy sitting on the green velvet while she worked, it's very soft and comfy.
But does she have to watch that blasted movie over and over again?
She says it gives her inspiration when she's working on her dresses and other Scarlett things.

Ugh!!! I can't watch it anymore!
Enough of the Scarlett and Rhett stuff already!
Why can't we watch something more entertaining like Puss in Boots!

That does it-I am taking over this blog!
If you want to see more of my mom's obsession with Scarlett then visit her other blog,

From now on this blog will officially be a Scarlett free site!
Now that I've made my sentiments known I think I'll take a nap.
You're worried about what my mom will think when she reads this?
Well Frankly my dears, I don't give a...
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
Until my mom takes control of the computer again,
Purrs and Meows,
Kramer

Sunday Wisdom

"Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak."
Isaiah 40: 28-29, NIV

Jane Austen and Mr. Darcy

A couple of weeks ago hubby and I attended the Jane Austen tea in Charleston.
There are several old churches next to the hall where the tea was held.

A beautiful spray of flowers graced a table filled...
with delicacies of all kinds.

Guests were welcomed in Regency style.
Hubby, aka Mr. Darcy, looked on as announcements were shared about the day's event.
Mr. Darcy enjoyed some of the goodies.
(Hmmm, kinda looks like a waitor:).
Me with some of the Janeites.
A graveyard sits between the church and Gage Hall.
A glimpse out the window shows a garden of tombstones.
After tea and a sumptuous array of desserts and sandwiches hubby and I shared a comical look at how Jane might have viewed today's world and the dating tips she may have shared.
It was a lovely day.
This past weekend was the reenactment at River's Bridge with a ladies tea at an old B&B.

Sunday Wisdom

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-
his good, pleasing and perfect will."
