Christmas in January!

Since I was away from blogland during Christmas I decided to post some Christmas pictures thus,
Christmas in January!
Outside the window the camillas were in full bloom...
so were the geraniums.
This Christmas rose bloomed for two weeks!

Meanwhile, the porch was decorated in lights.
Calvin kept watch for Santa Paws.

I think Kasey spotted him!
Or maybe it was just a squirrel.

Inside the candles were lit and the mantel was swagged in lace and velvet poinsettias.
This year I decorated with red and white china, crystal, and silver.
The fringe on the mantel was from my stash of trims for my dresses and I used green velvet placemats under the lace to add color.

The coffee table was bedecked with a nativity and angels.

The tea table sported glittered fruit and angels.

The kitchen table tureen got a few sprigs of greenery and poinsettias.

Lizzy was curled up dreaming of squeaky toys and chew bones.
Thanks for sharing my Christmas decor after Christmas!
Blessings to all!!!

Kramer Chronicles-My Busy Mom!

Hi, it's me Kramer.
Hopefully you haven't forgotten me being that my mom has been so busy that she has neglected to post my latest adventures!
Her busyness has forced me to engage in desperate measures in an effort to gain her attention.

She has been sewing dresses for reenactments so I tried laying on the pattern.
That didn't work.

So I tried eating the pattern!
That didn't work either.
(I did get her attention once I hacked it up forcing her to stop long enough to clean it up but then she was back at the sewing machine).

Next I tried laying on the fabric.
That didn't work either.

If all of that sewing wasn't bad enough then she had to cook Thanksgiving dinner!
Still she ignored me, humph.
So I licked the bowl-then she noticed me!

Next was decorating for Christmas.
I tried acting like a decoration but she didn't notice.

I even tried wrapping my toy around her slipper.
But alas, she stayed busy.

If the sewing, cooking, and decorating wasn't bad enough, working on her book was the most time consuming!
Here is the cover of her soon to be released novel.

I give up!
I'll just lounge here until she notices me.
I know she has missed you all and she will visit as soon as she can.
In the meantime you can wait here with me until she has a little extra time to visit.
I know she loves you guys (and me too).
Purrs and meows,
Kramer

Kramer Chronicles-Twas the Night Before Christmas...

and all through the house not a creature was stirring,
not even a catnip mouse!
while on the prowl through the house a sound outside made my heart pitter-patter,
so I sprang to the window to see what was the matter!

I retrned to my prowoling when nothing appeared,
when from the corner of my eye I noticed something with a beard.

Quietly I crept through the house like a spy,
to see what lingered in the shaodws nearby.
When what to my feline eyes did appear,
but monsters with teeth and hair near their ears!

I jumped in the air my heart beating fast,
I must escape now before they get me at last!

But then it occurred to my fine feline senses
this was the night Santa Paws would leave presents!

Not wanting to miss him or lead him astray
I must convince him I'd been a good cat all day.
So I sat with the dogs watching and waiting,
with toys in our minds and much anticipating,

As the candles threw shadows our hopes were alight,
as we waited for Santa Paws to bring presents that night.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
What'd ya expect but a Charlie Brown Christmas tree when you only have Peanuts to spend:)?
Have a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Porch

Hey, you won't believe this but now dad is outside putting up Christmas decorations!
(For those of you who are just joining us, my mom has been decorating for Christmas like a mad woman-see prevvious posts for all the insanity:).
After several hours the front porch of Faith Cottage was decorated for Christmas.
Personally, I think it looks better at night!

Boy, all that work dad did putting up those decorations really wore me out!
Better get a nap in before bed.
Sweet Christmas dreams!
