Battle of Aiken

Today was a lovely day at the Battle of Aiken.
While the Generals were contemplating the day ahead...
others visited with old friends.
Shopping for fabric was great fun in period style.
Sewing seemed to be the task of the day!

Of course, the gentleman had other ways to pass the time.

Darryl and I enjoy the event.
 Lynn enjoyed the day too.
There were some humorous moments as well.
This picture is simply titled,
'Man with big purse.'
Granted this scene was one of great concern.
I wonder which side left the ammo next to the fire unattended!
It was a fun reenactment and a wonderful day!

  3. This looked like such a wonderful event. I love that they had a sewing booth set up! I would've hung out there most of the day! Fabulous costumes~

  4. What a fun way for you both to spend time together! Do you always play the same roles at these events? I'm wondering if the same people always play generals, etc. It's really fun that you always pose for the camera, too, so you'll have nice memories of each event!
