Ft. Sumpter Soiree

Hubby and I attended the Ft. Sumpter Soiree on the USS Yorktown this past Saturday evening.

This was the jewel in the crown of a week filled with history and reenactment events.

Day at Ft. Moultrie

I spent the day at Ft. Moultrie on Sullivans Island.

Several of us worked on the flag that is now flying over the fort in preparation for the upcoming reenactment of the 150th anniversary of the firing on Ft. Sumpter which started the civil war.

I thought I'd share some scenes from this special day.
